Anthony serves as the Executive Director for Building Restorative Communities, LLC. Anthony's exemplary service record follows:
1976-1982 Served in the Army National Guard (Honorable Discharge)
1979-1988 Served in Mother Teresa of Calcutta Missionary Brothers of Charity. In Los Angeles, served youth, adults and families experiencing homelessness. Served (1982-1985) in El Salvador providing support to displaced families during the war.
1994 Graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a master's in social work.
1994-1997 Director of the Community Peace Initiative, a gang and violence prevention program in the Mission District in San Francisco, CA..
1997-2011 Coordinator at San Diego County Office of Education. Developed gang and violence prevention programs in schools. Developed the PASS AmeriCorps Program providing mentoring and academic support for students struggling in schools.
2011-2024 Senior Manager at San Diego County Office of Education. Lead trainer and coach in Restorative Justice Practices (RJP). Provided training and coaching for over 12,000 educators and service providers.
2020-Current Date Consultant providing RJP training and coaching.
2023 Established Building Restorative Communities, LLC.
2024 (July 2) Retired from the San Diego County Office of Education. Focusing on providing Restorative Justice Practices through Building Restorative Communities LLC.
